Business Tips from a Christian Worldview

The Right Worldview, Part 2

Gerald R. Chester, Ph.D.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. —Romans 12:1–2 CSB

For those who embrace a Christian worldview, all other worldviews are false because they interpret the issues of life based on a wrong view of God.

Mankind is innately biased to sin, that is, to oppose the will of God. Therefore, to think and live based on a Christian worldview requires a transformed mind, as Paul stated in the above text.

Below is a list of seven issues and the corresponding contrasts between a Christian worldview, which I call Beyond Babel and a humanist (spirit of Antichrist) worldview, which I call the Tower of Babel.

Life is not about self-centered living. Life is about selfless living. Consequently, all worldviews except Christianity support building “Towers of Babel” that will result in failure. Only a Christian worldview enables us to build “Beyond Babel” and will lead to enduring success.

Here is your business tip. Wise organizational leaders will build “Beyond Babel.” They will be devoted to growing through a transformed mind, seeking to expand their understanding of a Christian worldview. Their motive will be to glorify God by leading and managing based singularly on a Christian worldview. Every stakeholder will be encouraged and challenged to live accordingly. This is the only way to consistently and enduringly deliver an excellent value proposition and build a sound reputation. And this is the only way to truly profit both in this life and the life to come.
